Elyce Kastigar

Elyce Kastigar will enter her tenth season as the head coach of the Wolves' Swimming program in the fall of 2016. Kastigar and the Wolves will also join fellow NSU team's in the NSIC, as the sport was added to the conference for the 2016-17 season.

Kastigar came to NSU after coaching the Aberdeen Swim Club since 1997.  While Kastigar continues to be the head coach of both programs, she feels the two programs compliment each other.  Prior to moving to Aberdeen, Kastigar worked for the City of Eden Prairie (Minn.) as the Community Center Manager.

A former University of  Minnesota Golden Gopher swimmer, Kastigar was an All-American, Big Ten Champion, four time NCAA Qualifier and was inducted into the Minnesota Aquatics Hall of Fame in 1995.  Kastigar was team captain in her senior year, voted hardest worker and most valuable in her junior and senior years, and selected as U of M swimmer of the year in the sport of swimming her senior year.

Through commitment, dedication, and the drive for excellence in academics and swimming, Kastigar and her team will make a positive impact in building this program into the future.

Elyce and her husband Joe, live in Aberdeen with their three children; Adam, Hannah & Haley.
