Biography

Before NSU
Schmit is a 5-11 hitter from Davenport, N.D., and is transferring to NSU from the University of North Dakota. Schmit was a standout at Kindred High School where she had a dozen varsity letters in volleyball, basketball and track for the Vikings. Schmit helped lead her team to the 2012 North Dakota Class B title in volleyball and was named the team MVP in all four seasons. She holds the school records for kills and blocks in a game, match and career at Kindred and was an All-conference and All-District team member from 2009-12. Following her senior year, Schmit was named the District and Region Senior Athlete of the Year.
