As a junior, Hernandez hit .381 with a .619 slugging percentage and .536 on base percentage. She is a 2-time El Paso Coaches Association All-District selection. Hernandez was named the 2017 Co-Outstanding Offensive 1-5A District Player of the Year, and the 2018 Co-Outstanding Defensive 1-5A District Player of the Year. She is also a member of the Texas Glory EPWTX summer ball team. She is the daughter of Monica Mora and Robert Hernandez.
