Curtin begins her 11th academic year in the fall of 2023 as a member of the athletic training staff and second as the Wolves Head Athletic Trainer. She is the primary athletic trainer for the volleyball, women’s basketball, cross country, and track and field teams at Northern State.
Curtin opened her career in athletic training as a graduate assistant at St. Cloud State. She worked primarily with the volleyball team as an ATC. She holds certifications in blood flow restriction, Rock Blade IASTM, and CPR and first aid.
A May 2013 graduate of St Cloud State University, Shannon completed her Masters in Special Studies-Sport Psychology. She received her bachelors from the University of North Dakota in 2011 and majored in athletic training with a minor in psychology and health education.
Shannon resides in Aberdeen with her dog Rigby.
