Prep: Drew Benson is a 6-foot-3, infielder out of Chaska High School. As a prep, he was a 2-year starter and letter winner for the Hawks under the direction of head coach Craig Baumann. A 2-time Metro West All-Conference selection, Benson helped lead Chaska to a 2022 conference championship. In 2021 he recorded a .285 hitting percentage, .433 on-base percentage, and a .895 OPS percentage; he then followed that up in 2022 with a .367 hitting percentage, .425 on-base percentage, and a .860 OPS percentage. He is the son of Traci and Andy Benson.
