Prep: Cooper Tessendorf is a 5-foot-10, left-handed pitcher out of Columbus Lakeview High School. He was a 4-year starter and letter winner for the Vikings under the direction of head coaches Chad Van Cleave and Travis Tessendorf. In the 2021 and 2022 seasons, Tessendorf compiled a 22-1 record on the mound with 102 strikeouts and ERAs of 1.79 and 0.77 respectively. He also went from batting .333 in 2021 to hitting .413 in 2022, tallying a total of six homeruns across the two seasons. Tessendorf was a part of three Viking teams that advanced to the Nebraska State Jr. American Legion baseball tournament (2018) and Nebraska State Sr. American Legion baseball tournament (2021 & 2022), where they recorded third place finishes each season. He is the son of Travis and Abbie Tessendorf.
