Quinn Schafer enters his first season as the offensive coordinator and quarterbacks coach for the Wolves in the fall of 2019.
Schafer moves to Aberdeen after two seasons with Lake Forest College, as the team’s passing game coordinator and quarterbacks coach. In those two seasons, the Foresters broke eight school passing records and led the league in passing efficiency in 2017. He coached 2-time all-conference first team quarterback, Jagan Cleary, who led the league in touchdown passes and completion percentage.
He spent the 2015 and 2016 seasons as an assistant coach at Coe College, working with the quarterbacks and running backs. In 2016, the Kohawks recorded a school record 11 wins. Schafer directed the IIAC Most Valuable Player and All-American first team running back who led the nation with 1,913 rushing yards and 223.9 all-purpose yards per game. In his first season as the quarterbacks coach, Coe tallied two school records and their starting quarterback was named all-conference honorable mention.
Schafer began his career as the pass game coordinator and quarterbacks coach at Chesterton High School in Indiana. He played collegiately at Valparaiso University, where he received a bachelor of science in sports management and business administration.
