2023-24: Competed in 11 meets for the Wolves… Tallied personal best times of 4:17.95 in the mile, 8:32.09 in the 3000m, 3:58.66 in the 1500m, 14:49.15 in the 5000m, and 33:18.40 in the 10,000m… Won the mile at the Mike Thorson open and the 1500m at the Al Cassel Classic… Added 12 top-10 finishes on the year…

2022-23: Recorded personal bests of 2:38.27 in the 1000m, 8:44.51 in the 3000m, and 15:28.86 in the 5000m during the indoor season… Was a member of the fifth place DMR (10:15.71) at the NSIC Indoor Championships… Did not compete during the outdoor season…

2021-22: Recorded personal bests in the mile (4:24.80), indoor 3000m (8:44.77), outdoor 5000m (15:36.92), and 1500m (4:08.07)… Notched eight top-10 finishes between the indoor and outdoor seasons…

Season and Career Bests

Prep: Nathan Alto is a distance runner out of Bemidji High School. He is an 11-time letter winner in track and field and cross country for the Lumberjacks, under the direction of head coach Ryan Aylesworth. Alto won the 2020 Section 8AA Cross Country Championship and his team finished as the MSHSL State Champions. He holds personal bests of 16:21.00 (XC – 5k), 10:01.00 (3200m), 4:36.00 (1600m), and 2:10.00 (800m). He is the son of Shannon and Dan Alto.
