Thomas Stopak

Thomas Stopak enters his second year as the graduate assistant jumps coach for the Wolves in 2020-21, working primarily with the long and triple jump. 

Stopak began his coaching career as a volunteer assistant for Kearney High School. In 2019, he coached three of the five top long jumpers in the state of Nebraska, with each of them jumping 18 feet or better. 

He competed collegiately for the University of Nebraska Kearney. Stopak finished third at the MIAA Conference Championships in 2018, jumping 7.33m in the long jump. He currently sits third all-time at UNK with a personal best of 7.45m. Stopak received his bachelor's degree in Sports Management with a minor in coaching from Nebraska Kearney. He is pursuing a master's degree in Sports Performance and Leadership at Northern State.
