2024-25: Competed in seven meets for the Wolves… Recorded a personal best of 64.24m in the javelin… Won the javelin at the South Dakota Challenge, Red Raider Open, Mount Marty Twilight, Drake Relays, USD Tune Up, and NSIC Outdoor Championship… Notched seven top-10 finishes on the year… Won the javelin at the NSIC Outdoor Championship… Broke the Northern State school record in the javelin (64.24m)… 

2023-24: Competed at five meets in the outdoor season… Placed top-5 in four out of the five competitions… Won the NSIC Championship in the javelin with a 62.75m (205-10) throw… Broke the school record in the javelin with his championships throw…

Season & Career Bests

Prep: Carson Barnett is a thrower out of Harrisburg High School. Barnett is a 2-time South Dakota State Champion and State record holder in the javelin, throwing 183-6. He is the reigning ESD Champion in the event as well. He is the son of NSU alumni Shawn and Alicia Barnett and brother to current student-athlete Ethan Barnett. He will also compete in football at Northern State.
