2019: Appeared in 32 games, making 20 starts on the year… Hit .308 with 12 hits, nine runs scored, three RBI, and two stolen bases… Tallied a 1.000 fielding percentage with 19 putouts…

2018: Appeared in 36 games, making 32 starts on the year… Hit .218 with 19 hits, 15 runs scored, one double, and six RBI… Stole a team leading 11 bases… Recorded a .966 fielding percentage with 27 putouts, one assist, and one error…

2017: Appeared in 52 games with 50 starts in her freshman campaign... Recorded 49 hits in 155 at bats for an average of .316... Tallied 13 walks, five doubles, one triple, 13 runs batted in and 28 runs scored... From left field, Steinley notched 45 putouts for a fielding percentage of 1.000... 

Prep: Steinley is an outfielder from Lakeville North High School. She is a three year starter for the Panthers and a team captain. Shayla hit a career best .336 in 2014 and recorded a .329 average and .431 on base percentage a season ago. She has earned the 2014 Coaches Award, 2015 Golden Glove, and was named to the 2015 All-Section Team. The Panthers have gone 35-12 the past two seasons with a 2014 Conference Championship. Shayla is a member of the National Honor Society and is an AP Scholar.
