Pre-NSU: Shariah Smith is a 5-foot-1 guard out of Fort Dodge Senior High and Iowa Central. At Fort Dodge, Smith was a 3-year starter and 2-year team captain under head coach Julius Michalik. She averaged 12.0 points and 3.0 assists per game, earning all-conference first team honors. Smith averaged 8.8 points, 4.8 rebounds, and 3.0 assists per game at Iowa Central. She was named to the all-region third team. She is the daughter of La Donya Chaney and will join the Wolves with two years of eligibility.
