Mike Brown

Mike Brown begins his second full season with the Northern State men's golf program, having rejoined the Wolves in 2011.  A 2008 graduate of NSU, Brown has been extensively immersed in the golf world since his high school playing days at Moorhead HS in Moorhead, Minn.

Following graduation, Brown attended Northern State from 2003-08, receiving his degree in Sports Marketing & Administration.  He started for the Wolves from 2004 to 2006 under then head coach Randy Baruth.

Brown worked at Headwaters Country Club in Park Rapids, Minn. for three years, assisting with youth and high school golfers before coming to Moccasin Creek Country Club in 2007.  There, he was a PGA apprentice and Assistant Golf Professional for two years under Head Pro Dean Zahn and PGA Teaching Pro Ted Zahn.

Brown was also the assistant boys golf coach at Roncalli High School for two seasons under head coach Colette Quam during the 2009 and 2010 seasons, helping the Cavaliers reach the state tournament both seasons.
