Biography

2009-10:  Played and started 6 games on the year...scored 31 points (5.2 avg.), grabbed 11 rebounds, recorded 21 assists, four steals, and one block on the season...scored nine points, recorded seven assists and four rebounds in the season-opener against Jamestown on 11/17/09.

2008-09: Played in all 30 games of the season, starting 18... Averaged 4.1 points, 1.9 rebounds and 2.4 assists per game for the Wolves... Was second on the team with 71 total assists... Also second on the team in free throw shooting, making 41 of his 49 attempts from the stripe... Scored a season and career-high 16 points against St. Cloud State on Jan. 24... Also had six rebounds, three assists, a steal and a blocked shot in 28 minutes of play in that contest.

2007-08: Was an NSU redshirt due to injury.

2006-07: Newton played in all 29 games for the Wolves, averaging 14.4 minutes per game ... averaged 1.2 points per game and 1.3 rebounds per game ... dished out 49 assists ... had 9 steals on the season ... career high 7 assists vs. BSU on January 13, 3007.
