Prep: Payton Hughes is a 6-foot-2, 190-pound defensive back out of Sioux Falls Lincoln High School. He was a 3-year starter for the Patriots under the direction of head coach Ken Doyle. Hughes recorded 50 tackles in his senior campaign. He is the son of Tracey and Tim Hughes. Payton will also join the Northern State baseball program.
