Pre-NSU: Michael Bonds is a 6-foot-1, 220-pound quarterback out of Glendale Community College and Miami University. As a prep at Saint Francis High School and Newport Harbor High School, Bonds threw for nearly 5,000 yards. Bond was honored as the Sunsent League Offensive Player of the Year, Angelus League Offensive MVP, Pasadena Star Offensive Player of the Year, and an all-area selection. He played one season at Glendale CC before suffering an injury, throwing for 420 yards. Bonds earned all-academic honors at both Glendale CC and Miami University. He is the son of Thomas and Julie Bonds.
