High School: Green is a graduate of  Wahpeton High School in Wahpeton, N.D. where he lettered both in basketball and football. Green was a four year letterwinner in football. He was named First Team All-State both his junior and senior years, along with 1st Team All-Conference. He was also a team captain. Green lettered once in basketball.
