As a prep, he tallied over 2,400 rushing yards in his final two seasons, notching 58 touchdowns. DeRize was a 2-time all-conference, 2-time all-area, all-state honorable mention, and second team all-state selection. He is the son of Bruce and Sheila DeRize.
