Pre-NSU: Donovan McConnell is a 6-foot-1, 190-pound corner back out of Atoka High School and Northeastern Oklahoma A&M. As a prep, McConnell was a 3-time state qualifier and tallied nine interceptions his senior season. At Northeastern, McConnell played two seasons. He is the son of J'Shawna Hayes-Smith.
