Pre-NSU: Bather is a 2006 graduate of Wheatland High School in Wheatland, Wyo., where he was a 4-year letterman and a 3-time all-conference player.  As a junior, Bather recorded 99 tackles, three forced fumbles and a blocked punt and was named as the Wyoming Gatorade Defensive Player of the Year for his efforts.  He also notched 139 tackles as a senior and was named to the Casper Star Super 25 team.
