Tony Case begins his first year as NSU's new offensive line coach.
A former stand-out and 4-year starter at Adams State College (Colo.), Case comes to NSU after one year as the offensive line coach at Nichols College (Mass.). Prior to his time with the Bison, Case was an assistant coach at Chadron State College (Neb.), where he received his master’s degree while helping the Eagles to two straight NCAA Regional Championship games and back-to-back No. 3 finishes in the American Football Coaches Association (AFCA) Division II national poll in 2005 and 2006. CSC also claimed a pair of RMAC titles and posted a perfect 22-0 regular season record during those years.
Case was a 4-year starter for the Grizzlies of ASC, earning First Team All-Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference and Second Team Don Hansen’s All-America honors at the offensive guard position as a senior in 2003. Case also saw time as a long snapper and on goal-line defense.
After college, Case signed a free agent contract with the Buffalo Bills in 2004 and another contract with the New England Patriots in 2007. Although he did not make either team’s final roster, Case did participate in training camp and preseason games for both teams.
Also during the spring of 2006, Case started all 16 games at center for the Rapid City Flying Aces of the National Indoor Football League, earning Pacific All-Star honors and helping his team to an Arena Bowl Championship.
