Kiefer Price enters his second season overall and first as the offensive coordinator in the fall of 2026. Price joined NSU as the offensive line coach and run game coordinator in the spring of 2025, following a season as an offensive analyst and assistant offensive line coach at McNeese State University.
In the fall of 2025, the Northern State offensive line helped the Wolves rush for 2,538 yards on the year with a 6.59 yards per carry average, while allowing only 12 sacks. The NSU offense tallied six games with over 400 yards of total offense and led the NSIC in total offense per game with a 456.9-yard average. In addition, the Wolves notched six games without giving up a sack. They ranked top 10 in the country in yards per play and total offense per game, and top 5 in third down conversion rate and yards per carry. Northern ranked first in the NSIC in yards per game, yards per carry, and third down conversion rate.
Offensive linemen Daniel Porisch and Matt Ouellette were named to the NSIC All-Conference teams, as well as running back Wyatt Block. Porisch and Block continued their postseason accolades with Block named to the D2CCA All-Region team and Porisch earning AFCA and Don Hansen All-America awards. Porisch was the first offensive lineman All-American for the Wolves since Eric Cuka in 1999 and 2000 and earned the team’s first NSIC offensive line first team nod since 2016.
Northern spent two weeks receiving votes in the AFCA Top 25 Poll and finished the year with a 7-4 record. Two offensive school records were broken in 2025 by Block and Daniel Britt. Block’s 96-yard rushing score in the Wolves win over the University of Mary set the record for longest scoring run, while Britt averaged a school record 7.9 yards per carry.
With the MSU Cowboys, Price assisted in the development of the offense that led the Southland Conference in rushing yards, yards per carry, and rushing touchdowns. In addition, McNeese went from a 0-12 season in 2023 to a 6-6 record with Price as a member of the staff.
From 2022-24, he served as the offensive coordinator and quarterback coach for Misericordia University. The MU offense saw improvements in rushing yards per game, rushing yards per carry, points per game, and sack rate in his two seasons.
Price served as the offensive coordinator, assistant head coach, and quarterbacks coach for Iowa Wesleyan University from 2020-21. The Tiger offense experienced increases in production in yards per game, passing yards per game, and points per game during his tenure.
He opened his coaching career as an assistant offensive line coach at his alma mater McMurry University in 2013, served as a graduate assistant at Jackson State in 2018, working with the offensive line, tight ends, and fullbacks, and was the offensive line coach at Oklahoma Panhandle State in 2019.
Price played four seasons at McMurry University as a member of the offensive line from 2009-2012. He was a 3-year starter, 2-time team captain, and earned All-Conference and All-American accolades. He is a member of the McMurry Athletics Hall of Fame and was named to McMurry’s All-Century team.
Price resides in Aberdeen with his wife, Madison, and their daughter. The couple are expecting their second child in the spring of 2026.
