Northern State University Athletics

Gerardo Magana enters his second season with the Wolves in the fall of 2018, as the graduate assistant, tight ends coach. Prior to joining the Wolves, he spent three seasons volunteer coaching at Los Medanos College with the offensive line. 

Magana, a former student-athlete at NSU, played offensive line in 2010 and 2011. He was a 2-year starter for the Wolves, and was named to the NSIC All-Conference honorable mention team in 2011. Magana was selected as a team captain following his Northern State career, which is the highest honored earned in the program. He began his collegiate career at Los Medanos College where he was named to the Golden Gate All-Conference team in 2009. 

Magana received his bachelors degree in sports marketing and business administration from Northern State and is currently working on his masters degree in sport performance and leadership.
