Ben Watkins enters his second season as a graduate assistant coach for the Wolves in the fall of 2018, leading the NSU outside linebackers and offensive scout team.
In his first season with the Wolves senior Cody Braeger was named to the All-NSIC honorable mention team. Sophomore Preston Droessler ranked fourth in the NSIC in sacks, while leading the team with 5.5 sacks.
A native of Omaha, Watkins began his coaching career as a student assistant at his alma mater Peru State. He worked with the inside linebackers, special teams, and offensive scout team.
Athletically he was a 4-year letter winner at Peru State as an outside and inside linebacker. He graduated from PSC with a bachelor's degree in social science education after student teaching at Boys Town High School. Watkins is currently pursuing his master's degree in teaching and learning from NSU.
