Flyger enters his second year with the Wolves as the defensive line coach after two seasons on staff at Southern Illinois, where he was also in charge of the defensive line. He joined the Salukis after one season at the University of North Dakota, where he also worked primarily with the defensive line.
Also no stranger to the NSIC, Flyger is a former stand-out player at Augustana from 2000-2003. There, he earned All-North Central Conference honors and was named the league's most valuable defensive lineman as a senior in 2003. Flyger went on to play three seasons with the Sioux Falls Storm of the United Indoor Football League before embarking on a coaching career.
Flyger has a bachelor’s degree in business administration from Augustana and is working towards his master’s degree in sports management from SIU.
