Pre-NSU:  Grady lettered twice in football and named to All-Metro, All Redwood Empire, and All North Bay League.  He also split time playing quarterback and defensive end at Rancho Cotate High School in California.  Grady letter twice in basketball and baseball.  At Santa Rosa Junior College, Grady lettered twice in football.
