Pre-NSU: Maon Hoheisel is a 6-foot-7 pitcher out of Anoka Senior High School and Metropolitan Community College. In final year of prep, Hoheisel held an ERA of 2.31 and threw 43 strikeouts while being named to the all-section, all-conference and academic all-state teams. At Metropolitan Community College, Hoheisel went 3-0 on the mound with three saves, 23 innings pitched and held an ERA of 4.7.
