Sam Boisner

Sam Boisner enters his sixth season with the Northern State baseball program in the fall of 2022.

Northern State posted a 15-26 record overall and 10-18 mark in the Northern Sun in 2022. Northern State second basemen Isaiah Chevalier was named to the NSIC All-Defensive team following the season. 

Northern went 15-22 overall and 14-19 in the NSIC in the spring of 2021. Two Wolves were named to the NSIC All-Conference teams in Seth Brewer (first team) and Spencer Sarringar (defensive team). 

In his first three seasons with the program, Northern qualified twice for the NSIC Tournament and posted three All-Conference and two All-Region honorees. 

Boisner joined the Wolves after two seasons with the University of Illinois-Springfield. He worked with both the hitters and catchers, and was in charge of the recruiting effort. In his two seasons with the Prairie Stars, UIS qualified for the GLVC Tournament each year. 

The Albertville, Minn. native played collegiately at Iowa Southeastern CC and St. Cloud State. He was a member of the 2013 and 2015 Central Region qualifying teams for the Huskies and hit .317 with 33 hits, 19 RBI, and a .404 slugging percentage. He received his bachelor’s degree in Health and Physical Education from St. Cloud State and master’s degree in Sport Performance and Leadership from Northern State.
