Jared Meiklejohn

Jared Meiklejohn enters his second season as a volunteer assistant coach for the Northern State baseball team and first as the athletic communications graduate assistant in 2018-19. 

In the athletic communications office, Meiklejohn's duties will entail covering the Northern State soccer, men's and women's cross country, swimming, women's basketball, and baseball teams. 
 
The Dickey, N.D. native’s primary responsibility is to work with the infielders. He joins the Wolves after a collegiate playing career at Valley City State University for the past four years. He coached in LaMoure (North Dakota) as the infielders and hitting coach for Legion and Babe Ruth program in the summer of 2016-17.
 
Collegiate, Meiklejohn played at Valley City State University from 2013-2017. He was a 4-year starter, primarily at shortstop for the Vikings. He was a member of the 2015 team that broke the school record with 32 wins and helped break five more team records. As a senior, he was named NSAA first team All-Conference, NSAA Gold Glove Winner, and VCSU Male Athlete of the Year. Meiklejohn posted a career batting average of .326 with 202 hits, and 37 doubles.
 
Meiklejohn received his Bachelor of Exercise Science and Sport Management from Valley City State University in May of 2017. He is currently working on his master's degree in Sport Performance and Leadership here at NSU.
