NORTHERN STATE STRENGTH & CONDITIONING GIVING

Northern State Strength and Conditioning strives to give all student athletes the best experience possible. Our goal is to provide quality resources to our athletes to drive performance on the field, court, track, mat, or pool that will last long after their competing days are over.

Donations to the Strength and Conditioning Championship Fund go not only to championship fund initiatives, but to providing first class performance training to all Northern athletics. The four areas listed below are what we see that positively impact our student-athletes.

As our Champion Fund grows, we look forward to adding to the championship culture for every team at NSU. I hope that I can count you to elevate our department. Donations to the NSU Strength & Conditioning Championship Fund go to not only fulfilling our championship fund initiatives, but to providing us with the necessary resources to develop the best possible athletes in the weight room. Which in turn, will lead to better performance on the field of play and more championships won.

Our goal is to turn NSU into a DII powerhouse.  We will accomplish this by turning NSU S&C into one of the most respected programs and facilities in the country through game changing programming, equipment and technology. That is why we need your help!

You will find a detailed listing of our championship fund goals below. I hope that my staff and I can count on you and your donations to help us take this department to new heights that the conference has never seen before.

Thank you and GO WOLVES!

ZACH NEER - Director of Strength & Conditioning

CHAMPIONSHIP FUND INITIATIVES

  • Equipment: To enhance the performance of our athletes, we need to update current equipment to ensure a high quality of training. Along with updating equipment, we would like to add new pieces to our weight room to stay ahead of the curve to provide for the diverse needs of our athletes.
  • Technology: The ability to utilize technology to increase the performance is imperative to the development of our athletes. To be able to collect data on key performance indicators for athletes will give us a leg up on understanding how to better improve our skills. Putting a quantitative value on strengths and weaknesses and how to improve in those areas are at an all time high. This will increase the ability to program for the specific needs for each individual.
  • Nutrition: Adding to our nutrition station is a big point of emphasis for our department. We believe that recovery is just as important as the hard work we put in during a training session. One of the most important ways to improve recovery is how we fuel out bodies. Being able to give our athlete’s proper nutrition immediately after workouts has shown to be a game charger for our sport teams. We would like to expand on what we provide and take our athletic programs to the next level.
  • Professional Development: To ensure that we are doing everything possible for all our athlete’s development we need to be on top of the latest and best information out there. This area will help the coaching staff learn new principles to add to training programs at Northern. The ability to learn from the leaders in the field will elevate the quality given to each athlete at the university.
