TAILGATE LOT INFORMATION

The NSU Football Tailgating lot will be open 2 hours (3 hours for the InsuraCrop Ag Bowl and Gypsy Days games) prior to each home Wolves contest at the south end of the Clark Swisher Activities Complex. Entry into the tailgate lot is $10 per vehicle. Vehicles can enter through the east gate off of Roosevelt Street. Fans are encouraged to bring their own food and beverages to the tailgate lot. 

The following standards have been developed so that parents, fans, students, faculty, staff, alumni, and guests may enjoy their game day experience to the fullest. We anticipate your cooperation in observing each of these points, which are provided in the best interest of health and safety. Thank you very much.
 
Tailgating is allowed in all Swisher Field Parking lots. The Tailgate Lot ALLOWING the consumption of alcohol will be located directly south of the playing field on approximately 4 acres of gravel and grassy area. Alcohol in this area will only be allowed during Northern State University home varsity football contests. Consumption and possession of alcohol will be PROHIBITED in all other lots.
 
Wolves Club Parking will be located in the North Parking Lot through Wolves Club Priority Parking Passes. Priority Parking passes are available through the Wolves Club: $300/year which includes football and basketball priority parking. General parking is also located in the North Parking Lot and West Parking Lot. Parking in the South Tailgating Lot will be available at a cost of $10 per vehicle. Any vehicle that enters the south tailgating lot will be charged $10 per vehicle. Please note that Wolves Club Priority Parking Passes cannot be utilized in the South tailgate lot – all vehicles must pay $10 to tailgate.


RULES & REGULATIONS
  1. Game Day Management reserves the right to restrict any vehicle or person for reasons of safety.
  2. For safety reasons, we ask that all beverages be consumed from plastic or paper cups or aluminum cans.
  3. Under no circumstances shall persons under 21 years of age have possession of alcoholic beverages in the tailgate areas.  Persons under the age of 21 must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian.
  4. Beer kegs, party balls, and glass bottles of beverages are prohibited in all parking areas.
  5. No open containers of alcoholic beverages will be permitted outside the designated lots.
  6. Individuals who interfere with the rights of other people by the use of loud, abusive language and behavior that prevent others from enjoying tailgating and the game will be asked to cease the behavior or leave the event.
  7. Tailgating participants are responsible for keeping Swisher Field and surrounding areas clean. Trash bins are located on every lot, and trash bags are available from Activities Complex personnel.  We encourage all fans to help keep the tailgating area clean.
  8. Driving under the influence is illegal in the State of South Dakota. State drinking and driving laws will be enforced in and around all parking lots.
  9. Solicitation is not allowed on the Swisher Field property without permit. The sale of items by anyone other than University personnel is prohibited unless the University has granted prior approval. 
  10. Open flame fires, including fire pits, are prohibited in parking lots.  Propane and charcoal grills are permitted. Please properly dispose of all hot coals.
  11. Restrooms are available on the north side of the field.  Please use restroom facilities. 
  12. Please be aware that individuals who violate the above rules and regulations will be asked to leave the property and be subject to legal penalties.
