Bio Information: Luke Chevalier opened his Northern State career as a reliever in 2016, making 14 appearances with 24 strikeouts and four saves. He earned a starting spot in the Wolves rotation and went 16-10 overall in his final three seasons. In 13 appearances during the 2017 campaign, Chevalier posted a 1.82 ERA, which ranks second in single season program history, with a .198 opponent batting average and 73 strikeouts. He went 6-3 overall that season, and added four more wins in the spring of 2018, where he racked up another 56 strikeouts. Chevalier matched his 2017 record, going 6-3 overall in 2019. He tallied a staff leading 2.07 ERA as a senior with a career low .194 opponent batting average. In addition, Chevalier tallied 77 strikeouts, three shutouts, and six complete games this past spring.
In the final game of his Northern State career in early May notching a 2-hit shutout victory over Minnesota Crookston in the NSIC Tournament. He threw 9.0 complete innings earning his sixth win of the 2019 season and 17
th of his collegiate career. Chevalier left his mark on the Northern State baseball program, posting a 17-12 career record and 2.32 ERA, which ranks second behind Wolves great Gary Grove. Chevalier racked up 230 career strikeouts, including 67 looking Ks.
He holds four Northern State school records including; single season saves (4), career innings pitched (225.1), career strikeouts (230), and career saves (8). In addition, Chevalier sits top-10 in single season strikeouts, single season ERA, career wins, career appearances, and career ERA. He is a 2-time NSIC All-Conference pick, 2-time ABCA/Rawlings All-Region selection, and 2019 NCBWA All-Region honoree.
The Barnstable, Massachusetts native signed his national letter of intent with the Wolves back in 2014, joining the program as 2-time all-region selection and all-state honoree.
Professional Information: Drafted by the Colorado Rockies in the 26
th round of the 2019 draft as the 789th overall pick. Opened his professional career with the Class A Short Season Affiliate Boise Hawks.
