Bio Information: Matt Meuleners was the first 4-time All-American and second 2-time National Champion in program history. Meuleners is also the only Northern State wrestling to win back-to-back national championships in the same weight class. He reached the finals in three of his four seasons with the Wolves. Meuleners captured Northern’s first NCAA National wrestling crown in 2011 at 285 pounds. The 2012 season brought his second national championship at 285 pounds, prior to finishing as the collegiate runner-up in 2013.
He also placed at the prestigious Midlands Tournament and had success on the freestyle circuit placing fifth and sixth at the US Open and finishing fourth at the US World Team Trials in 2014. Meuleners remains in the NSU record books with 145 career victories. He is also one of just ten Wolves to record 100 career victories, and the only NSU wrestler to record multiple 30 win seasons.
