Bio Information: Ronnie Cruz was a first team all-conference running back for the Wolves in 2003, after joining the team as a transfer in 2002. Cruz appeared in 22 games in his career with NSU, recording 2,368 yards rushing and 375 yards receiving with 27 total touchdowns. As a senior, he tallied 1,476 yards rushing with 18 touchdowns, and 316 yards receiving with one touchdown. He ranked tenth in the nation in rushing averaging 134.2 yards per game, and ninth in scoring averaging 10.4 points per game. He also landed in the top-15 in all-purpose yards, averaging 165.4 per game. In the Wolves match-up with Minnesota Crookston, Cruz tallied 260.0 yards rushing which ranked 11th in the nation that season for single game rushing yards. He also added 27 yards off kick returns in his two seasons with NSU.
Professional Information: Signed by the Kansas City Chiefs in 2004 as an un-drafted free agent. Played for the Chiefs until 2006 and in 2008 he was signed by the Dallas Cowboys. He tallied 19 yards rushing and 37 yards receiving in his tenure in the NFL. Cruz also signed with the Dallas Cowboys as a fullback in 2008 but suffered a season ending shoulder injury during the preseason.
