Prep: Andrea Cherney is a pitcher and first baseman out of Stevens Point Area Senior High. She is a 3-year starter and senior team captain for the Panthers under head coach Tom Drohner. In her junior campaign, Cherney posted a 2.20 ERA and hit .296 on offense. She was named the Newcomer of the Year at Stevens Point, and earned WVC All-Conference honors. The Panthers are 3-time state qualifiers, winning the Wisconsin State Championship in the spring of 2016. She is the daughter of Craig and Debra Cherney.
