KESTI, BRYANT NAMED ARMY NATIONAL GUARD ATHLETES OF THE WEEK

Aberdeen, S.D. - Northern State's Dalton Kesti (baseball) and Dessa Bryant (softball) are this week's South Dakota Army National Guard Athletes of the Week following their performances last weekend.
 
Kesti led the Wolves to a 3-1 record last week going 9-for-16 at the plate against the University of Mary and Southwest Minnesota State. He scored five runs on the week including the game winner against SMSU, securing the series sweep. The sophomore tied a program record with five hits in the second game against Southwest, going a perfect 5-for-5 with two runs, a double, and a triple. In addition, he totaled 12 put outs and four stolen bases.
 
Bryant hit .667 for the Wolves against Minnesota Crookston and MSU Moorhead. She tallied four hits, including a double for an .833 slugging percentage. The sophomore notched two runs, two RBI, and three walks, notching a .778 on base percentage. Defensively, she recorded four putouts and five assists. Bryant added a win and save in the circle. She threw 7.1 innings in three appearances, recording one strikeout.
