NORTHERN STATE STORYLINES
  • The Wolves are 11-17 (3-9 NSIC) on the year after going 3-1 over the weekend in games against Minnesota Crookston and Minnesota State Moorhead
  • Through 28 games, NSU has accumulated 149 runs, 226 hits, 96 RBIs, 43 doubles, eight triples, 11 homers, eight stolen bases, 529 putouts and 203 assists
  • On the mound, Northern State has chalked 97 strikeouts this season, 63 of which are courtesy of Mckenzie Wanner
  • Tevan Bryant has been stellar at the plate for the Wolves this season, leading the team in home runs (five), RBIs (28) and boasting the highest batting average (.364) on the team
  • At the plate, on the mound and in the field, Aune Boben's sophomore campaign has made a huge impact for the Wolves this season
  • Boben bats .326 (third highest on the team) and has recorded 31 hits (leads team), 17 runs (second most for NSU), seven doubles (leads team), two homers (second most for NSU), 51 putouts (third most for NSU), 39 assists (second most for NSU), 29.1 innings pitched (second most for NSU) and 10 strikeouts on the mound (third highest for NSU)
  • Freshman Sydney Anderson continues to be one of Northern's most consistent bats, posting the second-highest batting average (.346) through 25 games, while freshman Alicia Jeanson leads the team in assists (58) and has recorded the fourth-most putouts (48) on the team
  • In 84.2 innings, Wanner has appeared in 17 of NSU's outings in the circle, tallying 63 strikeouts and posting an ERA of 3.89, the lowest on the team
 
JAMESTOWN STORYLINES
  • The Jimmies are 22-13 (3-9 NSIC) in their first season of Division II play, going 3-1 in their last four games
  • Through 35 games, UJ has notched 184 runs, 298 hits, 166 RBIs, 46 doubles, 19 triples, eight homers and 44 stolen bases
  • Trinity Gregg has been a monster at the plate, boasting an OPS of 1.057 and a batting average of .413
  • The senior outfielder has chalked 34 runs, 45 hits, 18 RBIs, five doubles and six triples in 35 starts
  • Maddie Spaeth is the only other Jamestown athlete with more than 40 hits and 20 runs, tallying 41 hits and 22 runs while leading the Jimmies in RBIs with 25 this season
  • Three Jimmies have pitched more than 60 innings this season in Aubrey Quern, Abby Blair and Hope Ransome
  • In 19 appearances, Quern has struck out 80 batters, while Blair and Ransome have tallied 40 and 41 strikeouts, respectively
  • In the field, Sydney Grendler leads the team in putouts with 154, while Spaeth has notched 89 putouts
  • The Jimmies are led by Kevin Gall, who is in his 26th season with the program
 
WOLVES AND JIMMIES HISTORY
  • Northern State is 25-50 (5-5 in the last ten games) against Jamestown, with the Jimmies taking their first matchup this season, 5-4, in February
