NORTHERN STATE STORYLINES
  • The Wolves boast a 6-2 record this season, tallying just two losses to Jamestown (5-4) and Dakota Wesleyan (9-3)
  • Through eight outings, the Wolves have amounted to 215 at-bats, 74 hits, 50 runs, 43 RBIs, 16 doubles, three triples, two home runs and a team batting average of .344 at the plate
  • In the field, NSU has tallied 159 putouts, 56 assists and five errors, boasting a fielding percentage of .977
  • On the rubber, five pitchers have recorded 38 strikeouts and have allowed 28 runs
  • Tevan Bryant has excelled at the plate this season, holding a batting average of .526 while recording ten hits, a double, a home run and a run in her 19 at-bats
  • The senior leads the team in walks with six on the season and RBIs with 15
  • Aune Boben has also made a substantial impact at the plate, leading the team in hits (16), runs (11), doubles (five) and home runs (one), tied with Bryant while holding a .516 average inside the box
  • Five more Wolves average at least .300 at the plate, including Sydney Anderson (.462), Corina Coppersmith (.417), Kennedy Boyer (.375), Alicia Jeanson (.310) and Madi Jones (.300)
  • Freshman Jeanson has been a large contributor for Northern in her first collegiate season at both shortstop and as the leadoff hitter, tallying nine hits, nine runs, a double and two ribbies while also contributing 16 putouts (fourth most on the team) and 17 assists (leads the team)
  • The Minnesota native is one of the Wolves to hold a perfect fielding percentage with at least five outs
  • On defense, both Jones and Anderson have been stellar in the field, with Jones leading the team in putouts with 25 behind the plate and Anderson following with 24 at first base
  • With 29 of NSU's 38 strikeouts to her name, Mckenzie Wanner (2.02 ERA) has been the go-to arm on the mound, notching a perfect 4-0 record on the rubber through 111 at-bats
  • Both Tess Miller (1-0) and Riley O'Connell (1-0) join Wanner with undefeated records on the mound
 
PURDUE UNIVERSITY NORTHWEST STORYLINES
Field: Red Marucci
  • The Pride hold a 7-5 record and a 6-4 record at neutral sites
  • As a team, PNW has tallied 105 hits, 59 runs and 50 RBIs through 340 at-bats
  • The pitching staff boasts an average ERA of 3.59 while recording 52 strikeouts and allowing 86 hits
  • Freshman infielder Gracie Jensen has been a solid addition to the roster for the Pride, leading the team in hits (15), home runs (one) and holding the highest batting average on the team (.469) while adding seven RBIs and six runs to her name this season
  • Emma Fair leads the team in RBIs with eight on the year while hitting a .355 average (31 at-bats for 11 hits)
  • Claire Schapker was named the interim head coach for PNW after serving as an assistant coach for the program for the previous two seasons
 
MALONE UNIVERSITY STORYLINES
Field: White DeMarini
  • The Pioneers are 6-4 this season and are coming off a 12-4 loss to Minnesota Crookston yesterday
  • This season, Malone has recorded 64 hits, 46 runs, 38 RBIs and 13 doubles, posting a team batting average of .250
  • Three of the four pitchers (Summer McCaw, Mia Rose and Masyn Baker) who have seen action on the mound this season have amounted to at least 19 strikeouts, with Rose leading the team with 23 (61 total for the team)
  • Marlee Pireu currently bats .313 and has recorded nine runs, ten hits, three doubles, a home run and five RBIs
  • Infielder Halyn Cawthorne boasts a perfect fielding percentage through ten games and has contributed 27 outs for the Pioneers, the third most on the team
  • Jeff Hite enters his fifth season with Malone, accumulating an 80-96 record with the program
 
FERRIS STATE STORYLINES
Field: Fast Pitch Stadium
  • This season, the Bulldogs are 10-9 and hold a 1-1 record through two games at the Space Coast Games
  • As a team, Ferris State has notched 107 runs, 152 hits, 89 RBIs, 25 doubles, six triples and ten home runs through 511 at-bats (.297 team average)
  • Ferris State posts an average ERA of 5.35 and has recorded 75 strikeouts from the rubber
  • With 61 at-bats this season, Alexis Kozlowski has been dominant at the plate, recording 24 hits (leads team), 12 runs, 17 RBIs (leads team), five doubles (leads team), one triple (leads team) and two home runs while batting .393
  • Junior Cecelia Bell has started in seven of the Bulldogs' 19 games, recording 29 strikeouts and allowing 64 hits
  • Jake Schumann is in his fourth season at the helm of the Ferris State softball team and is a former Division I softball coach for Florida International
 
SOUTHERN CONNECTICUT STATE STORYLINES
Field: Fast Pitch Stadium
  • The Owls are 2-0 this season after posting back-to-back wins against Post University last night
  • At the plate, Southern Connecticut averages a .258 batting average, recording 18 runs, 16 hits, 14 RBIs, three doubles and two triples in two games
  • Four athletes have seen action on the mound in Ashley Lewis, Giselle DeLutri, Kate Nickerson and Moira Collins, with the team average ERA reading 4.50
  • Cheyenne LaTouche is the only Owl to record more than two hits this season, with five on the year
  • The sophomore has tallied five hits, a double, a triple and four RBIs with eight appearances at the plate
  • Kate Boween is in her first year as the head coach for the Owls after spending a season as the interim head coach in 2025
 
FELICIAN UNIVERSITY STORYLINES
Field: Blue Louisville
  • Through eight games, the Golden Falcons sit at .500 and are on a three-game win streak
  • As a team, the Golden Falcons have collected 44 runs, 57 hits, 41 RBIs, 12 doubles, three triples and seven home runs while batting a .271 average
  • Felician has outscored its last three opponents 26-5
  • Junior Kimberly Torres has been dominant at the plate this season, notching five runs, ten hits (leads team), four doubles (leads team), three home runs (leads team) and 23 RBIs (leads team), going .400 at the plate
  • Teammate Karina De La Vega has also been effective, boasting a team-high .500 batting average while recording ten hits and three triples
  • The Golden Falcons are coached by Phil Delgado, who is in his third season with the program
 
POST UNIVERSITY STORYLINES
Field: Blue Louisville
  • The Post Eagles are 0-2 this season, dropping their only games to Southern Connecticut State
  • The Eagles have tallied ten runs, 14 hits, four doubles, two triples and nine RBIs through two outings
  • On the mound, Post has recorded three strikeouts and allowed 18 runs and 16 hits
  • Angelica Tompkins has been a bright spot for the Eagles, batting a .667 average at the plate and recording three runs, four hits, two RBIs, a double and a triple
  • Eight fielders hold a perfect fielding percentage, with Alexandra Bisceglia leading the team in putouts with eight this season
  • The Eagles are coached by Tracey Garofalo, who joined the program in November
 
SAINT ANSELM COLLEGE STORYLINES
Field: Fast Pitch Stadium
  • The Hawks hold a 4-2 record and are coming off a dominant 11-2 victory over Seton Hill last week
  • Through six games, Saint Anselm has amounted to 28 runs, 34 hits, eight doubles, three triples, a home run and 27 RBIs (.231 team batting average)
  • Caitlyn Duquette boasts a team-high 1.250 on-base slugging percentage while batting .500 and notching six hits and six ribbies this season
  • In 21.2 innings, Kendra Lee has recorded four strikeouts and two wins on the mound, holding an impressive .97 ERA
  • Alyssa Williamson was named the ninth head coach of the Hawks in December
 
LEWIS UNIVERSITY STORYLINES
Field: Blue Marucci
  • The Flyers are 3-7 this season, losing their last outing to Roosevelt University 14-5
  • The Flyers have secured 48 runs, 86 hits, 45 RBIs, 16 doubles, four triples and two homers, hitting .310 from the plate as a team this season
  • On the rubber, the Lewis University Flyers hold a team ERA of 6.96 and have secured 29 strikeouts
  • In ten starts in the infield, Anna Frafjord (.412) has amounted to 14 hits, 13 RBIs, three doubles, a triple and two home runs through 34 appearances at the plate
  • Jolee Strohmeyer leads the Flyers in mound appearances with eight, gathering 16 strikeouts and allowing 58 hits and 39 runs in 33 innings
  • The Flyers are coached by Becky Pearl, who has been the head coach since 2014 and led the team to a 37-win season in 2025
