Mankato, Minn. – The Northern State University track and field teams wrapped up the NSIC Championships on Saturday, with both teams taking sixth. The men tallied 44 points, while the women notched 48.33 points. Saturday saw the Wolves record one NSIC Championship and 11 season and personal best marks.
In total, Northern recorded four NSIC Championships, six all-conference performances, eight provisional marks, and three school records.
HOW IT HAPPENED FOR THE MEN
- Chris Weber won the fourth and final individual title of the meet for NSU, taking the top spot with a season best and provisional mark time of 6.75
- Jeffery Boschee finished the heptathlon with 4,794 points in fifth overall, recording marks of 7.52 in the 60m hurdles, 6.48m in the long jump, 11.99m in the shot put, 1.98m in the high jump, 9.26 in the 60m hurdles, 4.13m in the pole vault, and 2:53.99 in the 1000m
- Elias Londahl finished his first NSIC Championships with a seventh place finish in the heptathlon, scoring 4,731 points with marks of 7.56 in the 60m, 6.82m in the long jump, 10.46m in the shot put, 1.89m in the high jump, 9.09 in the 60m hurdles, 4.03m in the pole vault, and 2:56.77 in the 1000m
- Drew Salfrank took seventh in the 400m, crossing the finish line in 50.05
- In the field events, Martins Ogedenbe-Dobies added a seventh place finish with a personal best jump of 2.01m in the high jump
HOW IT HAPPENED FOR THE WOMEN
- Morgan Sheldon took fourth in the pentathlon with a school record of 3,483 points with event marks of 9.05 in the 60m hurdles, 1.57m in the high jump, 11.50m in the shot put, 5.16m in the long jump, and 2:33.42 in the 800m
- Renea Taylor added a pair of fourth place finishes in the 60m hurdles and 60m with times of 8.68 and 7.64 respectively, scoring a combined ten team points
- Anna Skachenko ran to a seventh place finish in the 600m finals with a time of 1:38.37
- The women's 4x400m relay team of Skachenko, Kali Norton, Julia Skari, and Taylor closed out the meet with a fifth place finish, crossing the line in 4:00.23
BEYOND THE RESULTS
- Personal and season bests for the women included Morgan Sheldon in the 60m hurdles (9.05) and 800m (2:33.42), Addison Cumbow in the 800m (3:07.54), Jolie Dugan in the 3000m (10:26.14), Emma Schneider in the triple jump (11.00m), and Kamryn Schwartz in the triple jump (10.70m)
- Best marks on the men's side included Weber's championship 60m race, Londahl in the 60m hurdles (9.09) and 1000m (2:56.77), Boschee in the 60m hurdles (9.26), and Ogedenbe-Dobies in the high jump (2.01m)

The NCAA Indoor Championships are set for March 13-14 in Virginia Beach. Following the weekend, Northern has six student-athletes sitting in the top-25 of their respective events; including
