Aberdeen, S.D. - Northern State's Joshua Book (men's basketball) and Romane Maugest (women's track & field) are this week's South Dakota Army National Guard Athletes of the Week following their performances last weekend.
Joshua Book led Northern State averaging 17.0 points, 7.5 assists, and 5.5 rebounds in the final weekend of the regular season. He shot 40.0% from the floor and a perfect 10-of-10 from the foul line. The junior went 4-of-8 from 3-point land against the University of Mary. The New Zealand native scored a weekend high 18 points against the Marauders and dished out a weekend high eight assists against the Beavers.
Maugest won the pole vault in the last regular season meet of the indoor season. She tallied a provisional mark of 3.85m. The senior bested the runner-up finisher by .30m.
