SEVEN PERSONAL RECORDS ON DAY ONE OF SDSU CLASSIC

Brookings, S.D. – The Northern State University track and field team took on day one of the SDSU Classic Friday. The Wolves hit seven personal bests on the day (three men and four women).
 
HOW IT HAPPENED FOR THE MEN
  • Sam Tremelling vaulted unattached, taking first with a 5.00m mark
  • Northern had two individuals, Eli Radtke and Rudi May, tie for second place in the pole vault with a 4.85m clearance; May hit a personal best and a earned a provisional mark
  • In the 200m, Ty Kadlec set a time of 22.34, earning eighth place in the event
  • Two Wolves got personal records in the men's 3000m; Blake Stoks with a time of 9:38.72 and Zach Palmer with a time of 10:07.77
 
HOW IT HAPPENED FOR THE WOMEN
  • Romane Maugest cleared 3.90m in the women's pole vault, earning her a personal best and a #15 Division II rank; she finished tied for second with and behind Division I competitors
  • Also in the pole vault, Bekah Walz's 3.60m mark was enough to get her sixth place
  • The 3000m saw three Wolves notch a pr; Jolie Dugan with a time of 10:35.45, Abby Hasart's time of 10:42.37, and Madeline Nye crossing the finish line at 12:03.93

Northern State returns for day two of the SDSU Classic Saturday, February 14. Start time is set for 10:30 a.m. with the women's mile.
