Aberdeen, S.D. - Northern State's Ryan Hirschkorn (wrestling) and Jacie Flockhart (swimming) are this week's South Dakota Army National Guard Athletes of the Week following their performances last weekend.
Hirschkorn upset No. 13 Jordan Blanchard of Wisconsin-Parkside. He tallied an 8-1 decision win over the Rangers 197-pounder. The redshirt junior recorded a pair of takedowns, an escape, and a riding time point in the win. The South Dakota native improved to 15-7 on the year and 4-1 in the Northern Sun.
Flockhart scored 226.90 in the 1-meter dive in the Wolves dual versus Southwest Minnesota State. She was the lone event winner for NSU from Marshall. The junior defeated the second place finisher by 62-points in the event.
