NORTHERN STATE STORYLINES

• The Wolves kick off the 2026 portion of their season after going 0-4 (0-2 NSIC) in the first half of the year
• NSU's two conference losses came by way of Concordia-St. Paul (176-45) and UMary (167-45)
• Both teams saw each other earlier this season when Northern State hosted SMSU, UMary and CSP, which ended with the Mustangs and Wolves taking third and fourth place, respectively
• In their last time in the water, the Wolves took fourth place at the Wildbear Invite, securing 593 points in the three-day meet
• Junior diver Jacie Flockhart has been dominant all season, ranking 21st in the nation in the one-meter dive (11 dives)
• In her last time out, Flockhart scored a 399.70 in the one-meter dive at the Wildbear Invite, taking gold in the meet
• Freshman Ella Wanschura is ranked 268th in all of Division II in the 200-yard breaststroke after recording a 2:32.64 time at the Wildbear Invite, earning second in the meet, while teammate Marie Loest sits at 297
• Emma Moore's 54.50-second swim at the Wildbear Invite has her ranked 379th in the nation in the 100-yard freestyle event

SOUTHWEST MINNESOTA STATE STORYLINES

• The Mustangs are 4-6 this season with wins over Iowa Lakes Community College (171-11), Morningside (168-26), Jamestown (208-75) and Sioux Falls (210-150)
• Minnesota State got the better of Southwest Minnesota State in their last time in the water, earning a 240-137 win over the Mustangs
• In their dual win against Sioux Falls on Jan. 16, Lexi Weems set a school record with a 24.28 swim in the 50-yard freestyle
• In December, Carla Nevi clocked a 26.95-second swim in the 50-yard backstroke, ranking her 75th in the nation
• Marty Wahle is in his seventh season at the helm of the SMSU swimming and diving team
