Burnsville, Minn. – Following the second game of the 2025 season for the Northern State University football team, the Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference released Jake Adams at the league's Defensive Player of the Week. Adams helped lead the Wolves to a 26-7 victory over Wayne State in the home opener from Dacotah Bank Stadium.

- Led Northern State with 16 tackles in its opening NSIC win
- Recorded six solo stops and ten assisted tackles
- Notched a sack for a loss of three yards
- Pulled in his first interception since the 2023 season
- Ranks first in the nation in tackles per game (18.0) and solo tackles per game (10.0)
