Aberdeen, S.D. – The 2024-25 Northern State University academic year closed out with the Wolves notching a grade point average above 3.0 for the 34th straight semester (17 straight years). The department tallied a 3.40 cumulative mark, in addition to a 3.4 terms GPA for the spring of 2025. Wolves student-athletes matched the spring of 2023 totals, marking the highest combined term and cumulative GPAs of 3.40.
"The academic excellence of our student-athletes continues for an incredible 34th straight semester," explained
Nate Davis, Director of Athletics. "It is incredible to think that most of our student-athletes had not yet started their formal education when this streak began. The 17-years is impressive on its own, but I never want to overlook what this current group of student-athletes achieved and how they prioritized their academics. They represent Northern State in such a positive manner in all of their pursuits."
In addition, over 180 student-athletes were honored on the spring President's List, Dean's List, and Academic Recognition List as release by the university. To view the full listing
