Maple Grove, MN. – The Northern State University baseball team was swept in their Sunday doubleheader, falling 11-4 and 13-2 to St. Cloud State. In Game 1, the Wolves jumped out to an early lead, but a late rally by the Huskies ultimately sealed the victory. Game 2 featured a two-run homer by
Nick Friedges early on, but a powerful offense by SCSU kept the game out of reach. On the day, NSU registered six runs on nine hits.

HOW IT HAPPENED GAME 1
- St. Cloud State was the first to score with one run in the first inning
- After two scoreless innings, Northern State tied the game with Dylan Soulek scoring off a single to left by Jack Weidner
- On a ground out in the fourth inning, Dillon Castellanos scored to give NSU the lead
- The Huskies responded with six runs in the fifth inning to regain the lead
- In the sixth inning, Soulek scored off an error, followed by Castellanos scoring off another error by the third baseman, to trail by three runs
- SCSU extended their lead with four runs in the sixth inning to lead 11-4
- Nik Bantle recorded the loss in 1.0 innings pitched with one strikeout against seven batters
- The Wolves tallied four runs off six hits with two errors in Game one

- After two scoreless innings, the Huskies sealed the win with two runs to lead by 11 runs
