Aberdeen, S.D. – The Northern State University softball team capped off their season on Sunday with a split against Bemidji State at home, winning the season finale in walk-off fashion. The Wolves honored their seniors in between and all three contributed to the game winning runs in the bottom of the seventh of game two. NSU scored a combined 12 runs on 13 hits in the doubleheader.

HOW IT HAPPENED GAME 1
- Northern tallied four runs on three hits with two defensive errors in game one, while Bemidji scored eight runs on 12 hits with two defensive errors
- BSU scored one in the first, three in the third, one in the fourth, two in the sixth, and one in the seventh
- Emma Owens kicked off the scoring for NSU in the second with her sixth home run of the season, a long ball to left
- With the Beavers up 5-1 heading into the bottom of the fourth, Avarie Eagle chipped away for NSU, scoring Madi Jones on a single up the middle
- The Wolves threatened in the seventh, down 8-2, loading the bases with no outs
- Brooke Wolf and Emma Owens scored in the inning for NSU, however the Wolves were unable to overcome the 6-run deficit and fell in the contest
- Abby Rux made the final start of her career, suffering the loss
- Eagle, Owens, and Dessa Bryant recorded the three hits for NSU

HOW IT HAPPENED GAME 2
- Bemidji State plated one run in the first inning and broke things open in the fourth with six runs, scoring seven runs on nine hits in the contest
- Abby Rux entered in relief in the fourth and threw 3.1 shutout innings for the Wolves, giving up just one hit in the final appearance of her Northern State career; the performance earned the senior her ninth win of the 2025 season
- Northern began chipping away in the fourth with three runs off the bats of Tevan Bryant and Brooke Carson
- Bryant sent one well over the centerfield fence for her sixth home run of the season, scoring Madi Jones who reached on a single to right, and Carlson plated Dessa Bryant on a single
- Tevan Bryant added her third run batted in of the contest in the fifth, scoring Aune Boben on a single to right and the Wolves were within four of the Beavers
- Down 7-3 heading into their final at-bats of the contest, Northern put together one of their biggest rallies and comebacks of the season
- Carlson led off the inning with a walk, followed by a hit-by-pitch to Rux
- Tevan Bryant brought Carlson home on a single to left center and the game winning run stepped to the plate in senior Avarie Eagle
- Eagle closed out her career with the Wolves in dramatic fashion, blasting her fourth home run of the season and 14th of her career on a walk-off, 3-run, bomb
- Tevan Bryant led the team with three hits and four RBI, followed by Dessa Bryant with two hits; the trio of the Bryant sisters and Eagle made up the team's three extra base hits in the win
