Duluth, Minn. – The Northern State University softball team held a lead in each contest of their Friday doubleheader with Minnesota Duluth, however fell twice to the Bulldogs. The Wolves notched three runs on seven hits in game one and one run on four hits in game two.

HOW IT HAPPENED GAME 1
- The Bulldogs took a 2-0 lead through the first four innings of action and the Wolves stormed back in the fifth
- Kennedy Boyer kicked off the fifth inning rally with a walk, followed by a single down the left field line by Aune Boben
- Boyer scored on a double to right center by Eden Ford and Boben scored on a sacrifice fly to right by Madi Jones
- Tevan Bryant plated Ford on a single to left for the Wolves final run of the inning and ultimately the contest
- Duluth captured the lead again in the fifth with two runs and added a pair of insurance runs in the sixth
- Boben led the offense going 3-for-4 with a run scored, while Bryant went 2-for-2 with an RBI and a walk
- Abby Rux started for NSU, suffering the loss in six innings of action; the senior gave up six earned runs on 12 hits with four strikeouts and two walks

- Aune Boben kicked off game two for the Wolves with a lead-off long ball to left in the first; it was the true freshman's seventh home run of the season
- The Bulldogs rallied in the bottom of the frame scoring five runs and adding two in the second, one in the third, and one in the fourth
- Madi Jones led the offense in game two with two hits, while Avarie Eagle notched the final base hit of the contest for NSU
- Boben started in the circle, suffering the loss with the five earned runs in the first inning
- Dessa Bryant entered in relief, giving up four runs (three earned) on five hits with two strikeouts and three walks
