Wolves Track and Field Sits Top-15 Following Day Two of Al Connie Shamrock Invite

Myrtle Beach, S.C. – The Northern State University track and field teams tallied 13 top-15 finishes and qualified three for Saturday's final races on the second day of the Alan Connie Shamrock Invite. In addition, one outdoor school record was broken. The Northern State men sit 11th overall with 12 points, while the women are in ninth with 16 points.

  • Morgan Sheldon took second in the heptathlon with 4,268 points; she tallied marks of 15.27 in the 100m hurdles, 1.54m in the high jump, 11.24m in the shot put, 27.48 in the 200m, 4.75m in the long jump, 28.58m in the javelin, and 2:40.15 in the 800m
  • Addison Cumbow finished eighth in the heptathlon with 3,317 points; notching marks of 16.23 in the 100m hurdles, 1.42m in the high jump, 8.63m in the shot put, 29.26 in the 200m, 4.61m in the long jump, 26.80m in the javelin, and 3:13.43 in the 800m
  • Jordan West rounded out the top-10 with 3,219 points points; recording marks of 18.04 in the 100m hurdles, 1.42m in the high jump, 9.58m in the shot put, 29.84 in the 200m, 4.15m in the long jump, 32.85m in the javelin, and 3:03.60 in the 800m
  • Renea Taylor will race Saturday's 100m finals after notching a qualifying mark of 11.91 in second
  • Taylor also advanced to the finals race in the 100m hurdles with a top-5 time of 14.49
  • Payton Kemnitz ran to a personal best time of 2:30.10 in the 800m, taking third, while Abby Hasart placed 12th in the 5000m with a time of 19:37.02
  • Olivia Ashley threw a personal best of 42.64m in the hammer, placing tenth overall
  • Rainee Snyder added a ninth place finish in the pole vault, clearing 2.70m
  • The 4x200m squad of Kyanna Collymore, Elisabet Osk Jonsdottir, Emma Hunt, and Anna Skachenko took fourth, crossing the finish line in 1:43.34
