Aberdeen, S.D. - Northern State's Joshua Book (men's basketball) and Izzy Moore (women's basketball) are this week's South Dakota Army National Guard Athletes of the Week following their performances last weekend.
Book averaged 17.0 points and 7.0 rebounds per game against UMary and Minot State. He shot 52.2% from the floor, 60.0% from the 3-point line, and 1.000% from the foul line. The junior led the team with ten assists and 14 rebounds in the two contests. The New Zealand native tallied a career high 23 points against Minot State, knocking down 8-of-11 from the field, including five made 3-pointers. Book nearly had double-double versus UMary scoring 11 points and grabbing nine rebounds.
Moore led Northern State averaging 26.0 points and 8.0 rebounds against the Marauders and Beavers. She shot 57.6% from the floor, 83.3% from the 3-point line, and 81.8% from the foul line. The senior added seven assists and seven steals. The South Dakota native recorded a career high 30 points against Minot State and career high six steals versus UMary. Moore led the NSIC in scoring and steals.
